Situated at the crest of the NW-facing summit of Carnbane West and c. 32m NW of Cairn D (ME015-003008-). This is a rectangular quartz stone (dims of base 0.85m x 0.55-0.65m; L 2m) lying prone and aligned WNW-ESE. Its stump is set in the ground at its E end and Conwell (1866, 361; 1873, 50) says was once upright. When it was upright it would be visible over a wide area SW-N.
