Near the SW angle of Ballinlegane, a small standing stone still leans on the Cashman farm, perhaps marking a boundary or a forgotten grave. It is the kind of stone people stop pointing at because it has never asked to be explained.

According to Power (1917, 8), 'near the SW angle of the townland on the farm of Mr. Cashman is a much smaller standing stone also apparently a true dallán. Exact location not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
