St Michaels Well is a circular stone chamber in hilly Cork pasture, its corbelled roof and three cross-shaped recesses marking it as a place where ordinary people once set statues and offerings into the dark. The well water likely sustained life and belief alike, drawing visitors down narrow steps to drink, pray or remember what the land held sacred. Even without written testimony, the shape of the chamber suggests repeated human presence, hands moving in shadow and voices echoing off wet stone.

In hilly pasture. Stone-lined circular well (diam. 1.3m), enclosed by circular stone wall with corbelled roof; opening to N with steps down (D 0.7m) to well. Three cross-shaped recesses on external face of enclosing wall; matching rectangular recesses internally contain statues and votive offerings.
