What is recorded here

Detached three-bay two-storey house, c.1870, now in use as a community centre. Roughcast rendered walls with smooth rendered base course. Replacement timber sash windows. Timber panelled door with plain fanlight, flanked by fluted columns. Hipped slate roof with chimney stack to rere. Single-storey extension to rere.
A simple, robust house retaining its original proportions, which adds a welcome historical note to the predominantly modern area surrounding it.
