St. Kierans Trees

According to the OS Field Name Books these trees were 'In the E. part of Creevagh td. about 28 chains S.S.W. of the junction of the river Shannon and the tds.of Creevagh and Clonmacnoise. These trees stand in the centre of the road leading from Shannon Bridge to Ballynahown.' Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
