Graveyard in Clonmacnoise

The graveyard stands on the site of the Early Christian site founded by St. Ciarán in the mid-6th century on the eastern bank of the River Shannon. It includes the ruins of a cathedral (OF005-004001-), seven churches (OF005-005----, 007001-, 008001-, 009----, 010----, 013001-, 052----), a round tower (OF005-020----), six high crosses (OF005-016----, 017----, 018----, 019----, 021----, 064----) and the largest collection of Early Christian graveslabs in Western Europe (see OF005-023001- and following).
