St. Columbkilles Well in Moone, County Kildare, is a neglected holy well where weeds now strangle the corbelled stones. Legend credits St. Colum Cille, though history gives the name to Kilcolum, a foundation built by a different Colum Cille. The well was filled in during the nineteenth century, yet the surrounding structure remains visible to the northeast of the church. What is clear is that the water stopped flowing, the stones were abandoned, and the village moved on.

St. Columbkille's Well is associated with St. Columba (Columbkille), a 6th-century Irish saint known for his missionary work in Scotland and Ireland. Holy wells dedicated to him were often believed to have healing properties, particularly for eye ailments and general protection.
