Site of Castle

Mud, stone and memory still tangle beneath the Castle site in County Carlow. What is left visible may be little, but the ground has kept the shape of hands, fires and choices made long before anyone wrote them down. A castle needs people, and people need edges, rooms, hunger and fear. That much is written in the disturbance of the earth.
