Freestanding post mounted cast-iron road sign, erected c.1930, having raised lettering in Irish and English and harp motif. Located to roadside.

Signs of this design were once commonly found at the entrances to urban areas, but are now increasingly threatened by replacement. It is indicative of the high quality cast-iron objects which were produced in the early twentieth century, while the use of both Irish and English, and the harp motif, indicates that it was erected post Independence.
