Wexford bled during the second siege of 1169, its streets choked with smoke and fury while men from both sides broke every promise of mercy. The town became a knife edge where hunger, rage and steel met without witness. Whatever mercy existed vanished before the final charge, leaving behind a wound that could never be cleaned or closed.
