Sheepfold in An Choill Mhór (bar. Corca Dhuibhne)

(m) Possible sheep-shelter: This small horseshoe-shaped hut foundation, open to E, is incorporated into the W wall of a large disused field on the lowlying level ground on the W side of the river. It measures 1.8m x 1.7m internally and the roughly-constructed drystone walls stand to a maximum height of 1m and are c. 1m wide. This structure appears to be a sheep-shelter of relatively recent origin, but its incorporation into one of the field walls does not necessarily imply a late date for this latter.
