Sheepfold

In pasture, on the lower N-facing slopes of Gullaba Hill. A circular area (int. 11.3m E-W; int. 10.8m N-S) defined by a low earth and stone bank (Wth c. 1m; H 0.6m) NNW-E, by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.6m) E-NNW. The entrance is at NNE. The walls and the interior are densely overgrown with ferns and gorse bushes. Another enclosure (KE094-027001-) abuts the external SE arc; a rectangular hut site (KE094-027002-) abuts the external NE arc. Indicated on the 1895 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 10m). The surrounding area has recently been planted with trees. A burnt spread (KE094-027003-) is c. 40m to the NE and a standing stone (KE094-050----) is c. 70m to the E.
