Ballyhoolahan West held a clustered settlement where people lived close enough to hear neighbour calls but far enough apart to keep private thoughts. The exact layout has faded from public view, yet the name still points to a place shaped by human choice rather than chance. Perhaps children ran between houses at dusk or adults argued about weather over fences. That much is not invention but the natural life of any settlement cluster.
