What is recorded here

Detached five-bay two-storey former national school, built c.1927, with three-storey and single-storey extensions to rear, now disused. Hipped artificial slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Rendered walls with channelled quoins, channelled door surround and plaque with raised lettering. Render surrounds to window openings. Raised render door surround and fanlight. Statue above doorcase. Playground shelter with cast-iron columns to site.
The regular form of this building is enlivened by the render quoins, render surrounds to openings and channelled door surround. The simply designed playground shelter acts as a reminder to the former activities on the site. It encloses, together with the Church of the Nativity of Mary, the garden to the front of the former school.
