Road bridge over river Lee, submerged in 1956 by flooding as part of the Lee Valley Hydro-electric Scheme and replaced by modern bridge to E. ESB photograph (1948) shows upstream side as having at least nine semicircular arches, increasing in size towards centre; pointed breakwaters rise to full height of bridge. Similar in appearence to Inishcarra Bridge (CO073-038----). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
