This quay is an important reminder of the maritime activities that traditionally supported the local economy. It may be associated with the nearby mill or quarry mines which were opened in 1835. It was constructed using locally-sourced materials, probably by local people and blends in well into the landscape.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
