Discovered by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (UCD) in Derryville bog during a pilot survey of Littleton Works in 1995 and surveyed in 2006 during a fieldwalking survey of the Bord na Móna industrial peatlands in the Littleton group of bogs (Licence nos. 06E0696-06E0706). A single oak plank trackway (L 45m; Wth 0.3-2m; D 0.07-0.15) visible on the field surface and in the drain face at three sightings on the E side of the bog. The trackway was composed of longitudinally laid planks with occasional longitudinal brushwoods and was orientated NE-SW towards Derrygreenagh, a dryland island surrounded by bog.
