What is recorded here

The site (L 1.1m min.; Wth 0.94m min.; D 0.15m) consists of brushwood and roundwoods. The roundwoods (diam. 0.063-0.08m), are orientated NNE-SSW and laid two pieces deep. The brushwood runs perpendicular to these and is also two pieces deep but more dispersed. Two pegs are located towards the N end of the site, each abutting a horizontal element. The site is very fragmentary and the overall orientation could not be determined. One piece of wood is cut to a chisel point. The wood is in very poor condition as a result of machine damage and desiccation. The site sits in a variety of peat types, most of which suggest that it may have been constructed near the edge of a pool. Date of upload: 15 August 2013
