What is recorded here

The site (Wth 1.06m min.; D 0.41m) consists of eight pieces of brushwood orientated E-W set at an average of 0.25m apart. These overlie pieces of lighter brushwood set at right angles to each other. Twigs are interspersed amongst the lower material and one twig bed occurs at the NE edge of the structure. Three vertical elements are also recorded, two of which delimit the structure at either end, 0.4-0.48m from the main concentration. The wood is in variable condition and metal-cut toolmarks are present on some pieces. Wood species include willow, ash and hazel. This site is located in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with a few small pockets of Eriophorum. The site is located 1.4m to the NE of SMR WM039-363---- and 2.6m to the SW of SMR WM039-364----.
