What is recorded here
This togher was found as a result of a peatland survey of the proposed Lisheen III wind farm, including the construction of turbines as well as an access road and ancillary works for connection with the electricity grid (Moore et al. 2015). Identified at two locations running ENE-WSW. A togher (min. L 15m; max. Wth c. 0.73m) composed of light brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.04m), in a poor state of preservation. Another single piece of brushwood identified some 15m away to the WSW may also be part of this togher, extending the minimum length to 30m. As both sightings of this togher were on either side of a high ridge field, it is likely that the togher survives in better condition beneath the ridge. (Moore et al. 2015, 38, 40)
