St Patrick's knees allegedly pressed two shallow circles into a boulder concreted beside a holy well in County Longford. The stone sits half a metre wide on the north-west edge, marking the place where human devotion met ancient rock. Whether the saint knelt there or people simply needed a visible anchor for prayer, the dents still give the legend a shape you can touch.

Associated with a holy well (LF006-025001-). An irregularly shaped boulder (H 0.18m; 0.5m x 0.47m) is concreted into the NW side of the well. It contains two small circular depressions (diam c. 0.15m; D 0.05m; diam. c. 0.1m; D 0.04m) which, according to local tradition, mark the imprints of St Patrick's knees. Compiled by: Patrick F.
