What is recorded here

Detached single-bay single-storey boathouse, built c.1820. Barrel corrugated-iron roof. Randomly coursed rubble limestone walls. Square-headed opening to rear (north) with red brick block-and-start surrounds. Red brick segmental arch opening with wrought-iron gates. Limestone and concrete slipway to front and concrete flight of steps with wrought-iron gate to side (west).
This functional and unobtrusive structure exhibits attractive detailing in its exposed stonework and block-and-start surround. It is an eye catching curiosity on the road side. In conjunction with its slipway and the associated house, outbuildings and grounds, it makes a positive contribution to the landscape.
