What is recorded here

Cropmark of fosse of W, N and part of E and S sides of subrectangular enclosure (c. 40m E-W; c. 50m N-S) visible in aerial photograph (CASAP, July 1989). Remainder of E and S sides indistinct but seems to overlay N edge of circular enclosure (13675). Cropmark, possibly of bank, and trace of second outer fosse visible along N and part of E side. Field fence immediately outside fosse along W side; second field fence (roughly E-W) traverses N half of site. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009
