St. James’s Gate Watch House
Watch House depicted standing at the east end of St. James’s Street, immediately to the west of St James’s Gate (DU018-020035-) at the junction with Watling Street. Annotated ‘Watch House’ on Rocque's 1756 map of the city and suburbs of Dublin (Rocque 1756). On this map the building is shown standing on the street immediately south of the junction with Twatling Street (Watling Street).
