Margaret Dangan died in 1680 and Robert Barnwall rebuilt the chapel where her graveslab still lies locked inside Tremblestown church. She was the sister of William, Lord viscount Dangan, and the fourth daughter of Sir John Dangan according to the added words on the stone. The chancel may have remained closed long after the town moved on, keeping her name and the reason for the rebuilding away from ordinary sight.

Located in the locked chancel of Tremblestown church (ME036-002----). A graveslab with cursive script commemorating Margaret Dangan was recorded in 1984. The inscription reads: ‘Here lyeth interred the body of Margaret Dangan, sister of William, Lord viscount Dangan, and wife to Robert Barnwall, the 13th Lord Baron of Trimblestown. She dyed the 5th day of Nov. An. Domni. 1680 for whom this tomb was made and chapel re-edified by her said Lord.
