Situated on flat poorly drained rock outcrop with good views in all directions. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map. On the revised 1901 ed. OS 25-inch map the monument is depicted as a circular. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
