What is recorded here

Kyle Burial Ground occupies a gentle south-facing pasture slope in County Limerick, yet no surface trace remains for the living to touch or follow. Westropp named it simply as a burial ground in 1904, preserving the claim that people once laid to rest beneath what is now open grass. The lost field boundaries and absent markers suggest memory itself has been grazing there, forgetting the shape of each grave while keeping the purpose of the land.
In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. No visible surface trace of site described simply by Westropp (1904-5, 398) as 'a burial ground'. Surrounding field boundaries have been removed. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 26 August 2011
