What is recorded here

Laharan West in County Cork once held a standing stone eight feet nine inches around, recorded by Bowman in 1934 on M. Casey's land. Its exact location has been lost, but the measurements suggest a substantial stone rather than a small marker. It may have guided travelers, marked a boundary, or simply watched the fields grow and change. Forgetting the place does not erase the shape that stood there.

Bowman (1934, 478) recorded standing stone on M. Casey's land, '...1ft 8in by 8ft 9in in girth'. Exact location not known.
