Indicated is a fairy fort in County Longford, Ireland, where a raised earth ring still stands on a south-facing shelf. Its entrance may have been a shallow ramp at the east, now hidden beneath grass and memory. The fort is not a human home in the facts, but a fairy place in local tradition, and that distinction changes what it means.

On a shelf of level ground on a S-facing slope. A raised subcircular area (diam. 42m E-W; 40m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.9-1.75m) to which modern drystone-walling has been applied at SW. At the base of the scarp from WNW-N-NE and at ESE is a largely infilled fosse (Wth 4-5m; D 0.1-0.2m). A depression (Wth 4m) in the scarp at ENE with an accompanying ramp may mark the original entrance. The rath is divided into roughly equal portions by a modern NNW-SSE field boundary.
