Half a meter of lost monument, pulled from Fennor graveyard soil in 1991 and set at the west end of St. Patrick’s in Slane, it still carries a crucifixion on one face and perhaps six bosses twisted in interlace on the other. Small enough to lift, yet heavy with age, it belongs to the place where it was buried and the church where it is seen.

The fragment of a high cross (Wth 0.6m; H 0.56m; T 0.24m) that came to light in Fennor graveyard (ME019-036001-) in 1991 is now displayed at the W end of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic church in Slane.
