What is recorded here

The enclosure in Ross (Dorrha parish) is in County Tipperary, Ireland. It appears on the 1843 edition of the Ordnance Survey six-inch map as a circular enclosure crossed by a field fence running from northwest to southeast. That fence is absent from the 1903 edition, suggesting destruction between those dates. The 2002 inventory records that it was not visible at ground level during its examination.

Situated on flat pasture in undulating countryside. Depicted on the 1843 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure with a field fence traversing the site interior from NW to SE. This field fence is not depicted on the 1903 ed. OS 6-inch map, probably destroyed between 1843 and 1903. Not visible at ground level.
