Hut site in Ros An Locha

In rough mountain grazing, on a terrace on the S-facing slopes of Bealick. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 3.5m) defined by a bank (Wth 0.85m; H 0.3m) of earth and stone. The level interior, which is in pasture, is raised (H 0.3m) at the S and cut (D 0.25m) into the upslope at the N to compensate for the hillslope. The remains of a roughly rectangular extension (1.7m NW-SE; 1.5m NE-SW) are accessed from the interior of the hut site at the SE and may have been an annexe or an entrance feature.
