What is recorded here
The site (L 7.51m; Wth 1.2m; D 0.3m) consists of a quite compact arrangement of light brushwood, occasional twigs and a single roundwood. The wood is most compact towards the SW end of the site where is it up to five pieces deep. The roundwood is situated to the NE of these with the twigs occurring in small, loose beds between it and the brushwood. While a number of pieces run in a N-S direction, the elements do not appear to have a regular placement. The roundwood is worked to a wedge point with a metal tool. The site sits in poorly humified Sphagnum and Eriophorum peat. SMR WM039-294---- and SMR WM039-295---- are adjacent to the N side of the site at the W end and midpoint respectively.
