What is recorded here
The site (L 1.3m min.; Wth 2.16m min.; D 0.12m) consists of densely packed brushwood, twigs and roundwoods (diam. 0.065-0.07m). The larger components are approximately parallel and orientated N-S. Twigs are scattered between these larger elements. Machine damage is evident, particularly on the NW limit of the exposure. One of the roundwoods was worked to a pencil point and the wood is in good condition. Wood species include birch and alder. This site is in moderately humified Sphagnum and Eriophorum peat containing many fibrous remains.
