What is recorded here

The site (L 1.3m min.; Wth 2.16m min.; D 0.12m) consists of densely packed brushwood, twigs and roundwoods (diam. 0.065-0.07m). The larger components are approximately parallel and orientated N-S. Twigs are scattered between these larger elements. Machine damage is evident, particularly on the NW limit of the exposure. One of the roundwoods was worked to a pencil point and the wood is in good condition. Wood species include birch and alder. This site is in moderately humified Sphagnum and Eriophorum peat containing many fibrous remains. Date of upload: 14 August 2013
