What is recorded here

Tower stands as a vanished belvedere on the west bank of the Ilen river, tucked inside the New Court demesne. It joined three sister towers in framing views across water and land, but no stone or mortar remains to mark its feet. The ground may still hold the shape of its purpose: a place built for seeing far, enjoying light, and making the landscape feel arranged rather than accidental.
