No visible stone remains, only a sunken trench eight metres long and half a metre deep at its darkest edge, stretching from the centre of the rath to its inner bank. The earth swallowed the passage rather than the passage breaking through, which is rarer and more interesting. A drumlin crest in County Monaghan keeps the trench hidden beneath grass and rain, waiting for someone to dig or forget it again.

Located at the crest of the N-facing slope of a drumlin. A sunken area (L 8.8m; Wth 4.1m; max. D at NW 0.8m), which may be a collapsed Man-made underground passage although no stone is visible extends from just W of the centre of rath (MO023-029002-) to its inner bank at WNW.
