Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Rathpatrick (galmoy By.) stands on a narrow ridge where sight reaches far in every direction. Its round platform, broad ditch and outer bank remain clear enough to walk around, even though the northern edge has blended into a field fence. People may have lived, hidden or marked territory there before written memory, while local imagination still calls it a fairy fort because such clean circles resist ordinary explanation.

On a prominent position in the middle of a N-S running ridge, in good grassland. There is good visibility in all directions. A circular, raised platform (max. diam. c. 39m) with a slight bank (Wth 2m; ext. H 1.5-2.5m) around the top of the perimeter, enclosed by a wide, deep fosse (Wth 6m; D 1.5m) with outer bank (Wth 4m; ext. H 1.5m). The outer bank is incorporated into a field fence to the N.
