No visible cache exists, but the hidden chamber beneath the centre suggests the fort still keeps its own counsel. Cows circle the edge, people dump broken machines inside, and the earth swallows the clutter without complaint. What was hidden may have been treasure, warning or simply the bones of a forgotten home. The fort does not need to explain itself, because it has already survived every attempt to reduce it to a single meaning.

In pasture, atop natural knoll, SW of farmyard. Roughly circular area (37m E-W; 34m N-S) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.2m; ext. H 2.8m) N->SE; scarp with slight internal lip elsewhere. Entrance (Wth 3.4m) in bank to NE. Interior used as dump for old farm machinery; large slabs of rock in W half; Man-made underground passage (CO081-006002-) at centre.
