What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular earthen ringfort in County Cork, Ireland, occupying fifty metres of pasture beside a southern stream. Its southern entrance faces the valley while a hidden northern passage cuts through the bank, suggesting the fort was built to be seen from above and entered from below. The earth still holds that shape, waiting for footsteps that remember the dark tunnel as much as the open gate.

In pasture, on S-facing slope, short distance W of S-flowing stream. Circular area (50.6m N-S; 49m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1m), with external fosse (D 0.4m) to NW. Entrance to SSW. Interior raised on SE side to compensate for hillslope; Man-made underground passage (CO064-02102-) in NW quadrant.
