Structure

A sparse deposit (L 1.55m min.; Wth 3.7m; D 0.54m) of mixed brushwood, roundwoods and four possible stakes. The elements are irregularly laid and up to two pieces deep. The stakes are not in close proximity to the other elements. These may be displaced. The site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum and Eriophorum peat with fibrous roots. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
