Structure

A deposit (Wth 1.24m min.; D 0.45m) of light brushwood and occasional twigs, up to six pieces deep, which is densely packed but irregularly laid. Woodworking is evidenced by a single chisel point. The site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with fibrous roots. SMR OF010-216---- is 3.6m to the S. SMR OF010-218---- and SMR OF010-219---- are 0.24m and 4.6m to the N, respectively. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
