Structure

A dispersed, irregular deposit (Wth 0.69m; D 0.13m) of light brushwood and some twigs. The pieces of brushwood are concentrated at the SW extent of the site. The site is in poorly-moderately humified Sphagnum peat with fibrous roots. This is one of five closely situated sites along a 6m length of the drain including SMR OF010-200---- partially underlying this site 0.2-0.34m below. SMR OF010-199----, SMR OF010-198---- and SMR OF010-197---- are to the SW. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
