Structure

Twelve pieces of light brushwood interspersed with occasional twigs (Wth 0.62m min.; D 0.07m). The elements are regularly, closely set and three pieces deep, with the suggestion of a weave. The site is in good condition and lies in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with fibrous roots. SMR OF010-169---- and SMR OF010-170---- are 0.22m and 0.44m below this site, with the latter site 0.6m to the NW. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
