Situated on NW facing slope of rising ground on the highest point of a steep irregular ridge surrounded by undulating grass-land, with excellent views in all directions. Moated site (WM008-053----) 550m to NW. A raised sub-circular shaped area (approx. dims. 35m NW-SE; 29m NE-SW) enclosed by two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank has been quarried away at NW & SSW. The fosse & outer bank are visible from S-W and from NW-NNE. Traces of cultivation ridges are visible running across the interior from NNE-SSW.
