Excavated (E3488) during 2005 by T. Breen as Site 24 at Raheenagurren West, which was one of the excavations undertaken in advance of the construction of the N11 Arklow-Gorey link-road. Situated on a gentle NE-facing slope. A layer of broken and burnt stone (dims. 14m x 8m; max. T 0.02m) overlay a slightly larger extent of silty grey clay (T 0.1m), which overlay a rectangular trough (dims. 1.1m x 0.46m; D 0.19m) cut into the subsoil. There were also two other pits (diam. 0.87m; D 0.33: dims. 0.55m x 0.46m; D 0.18m) and some concentrations of post-holes. Fulacht fia (WX012-034002-) is c. 35m to the ENE.
