Promontory fort is a coastal promontory fort in Carrownrush (tireragh By., Easky East Ed), County Sligo, Ireland. The small, approximately triangular promontory extends northwest into Sligo Bay, with sea rocks defining its southwest, northwest and northeast sides. A low bank of earth and stone, likely a disused field boundary rather than an ancient defence, separates the promontory from the surrounding land at the southeast. The site appears as Lackavarna on the 1913 Ordnance Survey map but remains unmarked as an antiquity on any edition of the six-inch chart.

Not marked as an antiquity on any edition of the OS 6-inch map. Small, approximately triangular-shaped promontory (30m NW-SE; 27.5m NE-SW) extending in a NW direction into Sligo Bay. The SW, NW and NE sides are defined by sea rocks. The promontory is cut off from the surrounding land at SE by a low bank (Wth 2.5m; H 0.3-0.6m) of earth and stone which appears to be a relatively modern, although now-disused, field boundary. The promontory is marked 'Lackavarna' on the OS 1913 ed. of the 6-inch map. Within the same townland, 60m to SE there is a second possible promontory fort (SL012-007----).
