Indicated

Graveyard

What is recorded here

Indicated is a sub-rectangular graveyard in County Louth, Ireland, holding eighteenth-century grave-slabs and church remains just north of its centre. It is the kind of quiet place where people stopped pretending the dead were invisible, marking loss instead of erasing it. The stones may still stand because someone kept returning there, not for spectacle but for memory.
Sub-rectangular shaped graveyard (map dims. c. 40m E-W; c. 35m N-S) with church remains (LH019-006001-) just N of centre. A number of grave-slabs dating to the 18th century recorded when inspected by ASI in 1966. Compiled by: Claire Breen Date of upload: 12 July 2012
