Burial in Pollardstown

Pollardstown holds a buried jar waiting for rain or memory to reveal it. The railway cut through Kildare soil for gravel, breaking open an old chamber nobody had mapped. Inside lay sherds of an encrusted urn, not gold or weapons, but the remains of a vessel that once held someone important enough to protect. The train company took stones for tracks while history dropped its own weight into the pit.
