What is recorded here
Enclosure in Pass is a hidden circular marker in County Offaly, visible only in aerial photographs rather than beneath human feet. It lies south of another enclosure already destroyed, suggesting a line of boundaries or ceremonies now erased from the living land. The place resists ordinary seeing, forcing imagination to complete what measurement has lost.
Not visible at ground level. Aerial photographs (Air Corps 715/6) shows faint outline of circular enclosure to S of destroyed enclosure (OF036-012----).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
