Located on the W bank of a S-N stream. A layer of broken and burnt stone (L 10m; T 0.2m) is visible in the stream section. Burnt mound in Mountbolton is a Neolithic ritual or industrial site, dating to approximately 4000–2500 BCE. It is significant as evidence of early human activity, possibly related to cooking, feasting, or ceremonial practices.
